CrossSum is a single-player puzzle game. It doesn't have accounts, logins, or a server — this page explains the small amount of data that ads and purchases involve, and everything we deliberately don't collect.
Your puzzle progress — the current level, which cells you've circled or erased, your hearts, and your remaining hints — is stored locally on your device only. It is never sent to us or to any third party, and we have no way to see it.
CrossSum shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, approximate location, and app interaction data to serve and measure ads. On iOS, this only happens if you allow tracking when prompted (App Tracking Transparency) — if you decline, you'll still see ads, just less personalized ones.
You can review Google's own privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
The optional "Remove Ads" purchase is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details — Apple shares only the fact that you purchased it, so the app can turn ads off.
CrossSum is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll address it.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of CrossSum after a change means you accept the update.
